5th Grade Behavior Plan

Horizon teachers expect students to behave and complete their work on time. When expectations are met, students will receive daily recesses.  If expectations are not met, the following consequences will be enforced:

Level One Behaviors and Interventions
Poor Behavior: Disruptive behavior (blurting out, being off-task, showing disrespect), missing assignment(s)
Consequence: Loss of recess

Level Two Behaviors and Interventions:
Poor Behavior: Consistent missing assignments
Consistent poor behavior listed above
Consequence: Loss of two recesses; Communication home

Level Three Behaviors and Interventions
*Poor Behavior, including, but not limited to:
• Inappropriate physical contact
• Bullying
• Swearing/inappropriate language
• Stealing
• Lying
Consequence: Loss of five recesses; Communication home; Meeting with all fifth grade teachers and, if necessary, specialists.

*These behaviors may result in suspension based on circumstances and severity.
